Astrology was accepted in the Middle Ages as a serious study and was taught in Monasteries, Cathederal Schools and was an essential part of the curriculum for students of Astronomy and Medicine at Universities. Bologna University taught a four year course in Astrology during the 15th Century. A thorough knowledge of Geometry, Mathematics, Astronomy, Philosophy and Cosmological Theory were required to be a practitioner of astrology. 15th Century England My study of Astrology in the Monastery involved copying of Astrological and Alchemical texts from original manuscripts. 20th Century Sydney Australia At age 8, I bought my first Astrology book, at age 16 began studing the subject seriously and at 21 commenced my first course in Astrology. After studying for 3 years with the College of Humanistic Astrology, and passing the FAA exam I began professionally practicing as an Astrologer (and also teaching). This I did part time for over 20 years. I have a stellium including Sun/Pluto in the 9th house. My south node is in Aquarius in the 3rd house opposing Uranus conjunct north node. . |
